Pamela M. Cyr
Pamela M. Cyr is executive vice president and chief retail banking officer for Beneficial Bank. Beneficial is a community-based, diversified financial services company providing consumer and commercial banking services. Beneficial Bank has served individuals and businesses in the Delaware Valley area since 1853. The Bank is the oldest and largest bank headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with over 60 offices in the greater Philadelphia and South New Jersey regions. Cyr previously held the position of president and chief executive officer of St. Edmond’s Federal Savings Bank from March 2005 through the acquisition of the Bank by Beneficial in early 2012. Headquartered in South Philadelphia, St Edmond’s Federal Savings Bank opened in 1912 and established its roots as a community bank serving the Greater Philadelphia area and Southern Jersey. In spite of the continued challenges facing community banks, Cyr and her team led St Edmond’s FSB on a growth initiative opening four new successful branch banking offices while creating a culture focused on active involvement in each of the communities served resulting in strong business and retail core banking relationships. Cyr has held various positions in the financial services industry including chief financial officer at Susquehanna Patriot Bank and Roxborough-Manayunk Bank, controller of Commerce Capital Markets and audit manager at Deloitte & Touche LLP. Cyr is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the AICPA and PICPA. She also serves on the board of trustees of Goodwill Industries of Southern New Jersey and Philadelphia and was chairman of board from 2010 through 2011. Cyr is a member of the Cooper Foundation’s host committee for the 2013 Annual Pink Roses Teal Magnolias event. She is a graduate of LaSalle University and currently resides in Mount Laurel, New Jersey with her two children. @beneficialbank
