Melissa Costell

MELISSA COSTELL is the enterprise risk coordinator for research & development (R&D) data integrity at GSK, where she facilitates effective data integrity risk management across pharmaceuticals, vaccines, and consumer Health. She also chairs the data integrity quality council which is responsible for driving data integrity, quality, compliance, and continuous improvement in the non-regulated areas of Pharma R&D. Costell has a broad background in pharmaceutical drug discovery, and through her scientific and risk management roles, has successfully led several matrix teams. She is passionate about developing, promoting, and retaining women leaders – particularly in STEM – and was recently named co-lead of the Women’s Leadership Initiative group for the US R&D Hub in Collegeville, PA. She is excited to share her knowledge, experience, and support with colleagues as we work to propel our best selves forward. Costell studied biology and physiology at the Pennsylvania State University before joining GSK in 2003. @GSK
