Lauren Katz Smith
Lauren Katz Smith is a documentary filmmaker and an attorney. She serves as general counsel for History Making Productions, a Philadelphia-based production firm focused on producing films about history of and community affairs in Greater Philadelphia. And she is currently producing The Women of Philadelphia: A Documentary, a multi-format series on the history of Philadelphia told from the perspective of women, highlighting the contributions and experiences of women throughout the city’s history. Prior to joining History Making Productions, Lauren was a litigation associate at Blank Rome LLP and in 2009 she served as a law clerk for the Hon. Joseph Rodriguez, United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Lauren earned her law degree in 2009 from Drexel University College of Law and has a B.A. from Tufts University. @womenofphilly
