Karen Sudders
Karen Sudders is a Clinical Oncology Dietitian for CTCA Eastern Regional Medical Center. She’s been practicing since 2007, and joined CTCA in 2009. Sudders provides personalized nutrition consultations and recommendations to patients. She works alongside Dr. Shayma Kazmi, a medical oncologist and hematologist, as well as a naturopathic oncology provider, care manager and registered nurse. She helps patients maintain a healthy weight during treatment by providing dietary guidance through menu planning, tips on controlling treatment side effects such as nausea and vomiting and overall diet education. Although Sudders’ background is primarily clinical, her interests include weight management, wellness and sports nutrition, which is reflected in her personal interests as a novice runner and an avid cook and baker. Sudders earned an M.S. and a B.S. in food and nutrition from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She is also a registered and licensed dietitian and a Certified Specialist in Oncology nutrition.@cancercenter
