Gerard P. Cuddy
GERARD P. CUDDY joined Beneficial Bank as president and CEO in 2006. Cuddy is a banking veteran of over 30 years with broad management and senior leadership experience. Since joining Beneficial, he has led the company in its initial public offering and first major acquisition. Cuddy directs Beneficial’s efforts to provide its customers with education and resource tools to help them to do the right thing financially. He has been profiled and quoted numerous times in media outlets, including The New York Times, the Philadelphia Inquirer and The Huffington Post. Committed to improving the communities that Beneficial serves, Cuddy is on the boards of the Foreign Policy Research Institute, the Philadelphia Union League, the Barnes Foundation and Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia Community Depository Institution advisory council. He is a past board member of the Franklin Institute, the education and finance committees of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, BLOCS (Business Leadership Organized for Catholic Schools), the Police Athletic League, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the World Affairs Council and Philadelphia Hospitality. Cuddy earned a B.A. in economics from Villanova University and an M.B.A. at St. Joseph’s University. He and his family reside in Rosemont, Pennsylvania. @beneficialbank
