Elizabeth Murphy
Elizabeth Murphy is vice president, external affairs for PECO, where she oversees the company’s legislative lobbying activities and policy development, economic development and corporate relations. Based in Philadelphia, PECO is Pennsylvania’s largest electric and natural gas utility. The company employs about 2,400 people, owns $9 billion in assets and generates approximately $5.6 billion in annual revenues. Prior to coming to PECO, Murphy was chief operating officer of the Delaware River Port Authority. Prior to her role as Port Authority COO, Murphy was the assistant to the DRPA chairman and the director of the Port of Philadelphia. Murphy currently serves on the boards of the Committee of Seventy, Schuylkill River Development Corporation, Academy of Vocal Arts, Women’s Way and the Beltline Railroad. She received her bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Albany.
