Dr. Melissa Harris

MELISSA HARRIS is the worldwide medical lead for hepatitis C at Bristol-Myers Squibb. She began her pharmacy career as a hospital pharmacist and transitioned to industry as a post-doctoral fellow in medical communications focused on medical writing and customer interactions within the call center supporting the infectious disease franchise. She joined Bristol-Myers Squibb as a medical affairs specialist where she assumed increasing leadership responsibility delivering strategic direction to launches in HIV, hepatitis and immunoscience with a focus on delivering medical education, medical conference coverage, phase IV publication development and medical information content. She has successfully built and led teams throughout her medical affairs career. Harris is currently leading the worldwide medical organization responsible for hepatitis C data generation strategy while collaborating with the clinical and commercial teams as well as markets across the globe. Harris earned her B.S. and Pharm.D. from Rutgers University College of Pharmacy. @bmsnews
