Amy Buckman

AMY BUCKMAN is the manager of public relations and special events for Philadelphia Media Network, publisher of two Pulitzer Prize-winning newspapers, The Philadelphia Inquirer and The Philadelphia Daily News, along with Philly.com. She serves as the company’s media liaison and spokesman, in addition to being an integral part of the team implementing a strategic plan to develop events as an additional revenue stream for the legacy publisher. Buckman joined PMN in January 2015 after working at 6abc (WPVI-TV) in Philadelphia for 25 years. Buckman began working at WPVI-TV in 1989. Before that she was a general assignment reporter and morning anchor for KWQC-TV in Davenport, Iowa. Prior to that, she was the Washington, D.C., reporter for WEEK-TV in Peoria, Ill. She was awarded the Harrington award for top broadcast student in her class and won several additional scholarships from The Headline Club/Society of Professional Journalists in Chicago.  She serves on the boards of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Buoniconti Fund, the Main Line Reform Temple/Beth Elohim and the Philly Ad Club. Buckman graduated Kappa Tau Alpha from Northwestern University, earning both her B.S. and M.S. from the Medill School of Journalism in 1986. @amywbuckman
