Community Connection Pavilion

Located in Halls C & D, Open All Day

The Pennsylvania Conference for Women believes in “The Power of Us.” We know that as much as women give to their communities, they also gain. Please spend some time in our Community Connection Pavilion and learn how you can become more deeply involved in the shaping, values and vision of not only your neighborhood, but the world.

Donation Drives & Volunteer Opportunities

Comfort Care Packages

Beneficial Bank and The Beneficial Foundation will be collecting items to benefit Lisa’s Army, a non-profit dedicated to providing comfort to courageous individuals currently undergoing cancer treatments. Items needed include travel-size and fragrance/flavor free hand sanitizer, lotion, lip balm and eyebrow pencils. Stop by the Lisa’s Army booth with your donations or to help assemble care packages.

Handbag & Accessories Drive

The best accessory for any job search is confidence… but a handbag helps, too!

Please join QVC and Career Wardrobe in promoting the success and independence of women transitioning to work. We invite you to bring donations of new or gently-used handbags to the Career Wardrobe booth in the Community Pavilion. As part of its ongoing commitment to the success and wellness of women, QVC is a proud supporter of Career Wardrobe, a Philadelphia-based nonprofit which has empowered more than 80,000 women since 1995 by providing professional attire, educational programming, and networking tools and opportunities.

Don’t have a handbag in your closet to donate?  Career Wardrobe will also welcome donations of other accessories (jewelry, scarves, shoes) and unopened cosmetics.

Consider celebrating the PA Women’s Conference by having a handbag drive at your workplace. Contact [email protected] to coordinate your drive.

Your donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible.

SERVE Philadelphia Feminine Hygiene Product Drive

Homeless and poverty-stricken young women miss several days of school each month in the City of Philadelphia because they cannot afford feminine hygiene products. With your help, we can remove this barrier and get these girls back in school during their cycle, embarrassment-free. Please bring sanitary napkins, tampons or retail gift cards to the SERVE Philadelphia booth to donate.

You can also learn about great local volunteer opportunities while you’re there!

Civic Engagement at the Conference

In addition to three very worthy charity partners, we’re pleased to welcome to this year’s conference two non-partisan groups that are working to give a voice to all Americans. Visit the League of Women Voters booth in the Exhibit Hall and learn the many ways you can get involved, from registering to vote to education to volunteering in your community. Then stop by the VoteRunLead booth to hear how they’re training women to run for office across the country and changing the face of leadership.
