IMAGINE wearing clothing that is beautiful, functional and does something nice for our planet!
I’m thrilled to be speaking at the 2012 PA Conference for Women and to be bringing my passion for sustainable fashion to the women of Philly!
I spent years as a top design consultant to premiere brands like Saks, Calvin Klein and Donna Karan where I conducted groundbreaking and prizewinning research in the field of sustainable textiles, apparel design and manufacturing.
Due to my travels and unique experiences, I noticed the lack of ethical and practical clothing options for working women worldwide. As professional women we have so many demands on our time and attention. We want fashion; just without all of the fuss. We want fashion that we can feel good about.
So in the spring of 2012, I created my new line Essentialist. Each little black dress is made seamlessly from a single yarn, right here in the USA using environmentally friendly fibers and dyes. The best part, they’re not only sustainable, they are lightweight, chic and travel friendly. These dresses are perfect for professional women with style, but who don’t have time to chase unreasonable trends.
Essentialist was designed for real women. Each dress is laced with a combination of modernity, luxury, sustainability and fit elegance. The result is a look that fits to your body, lifestyle and values – it’s the one dress for today’s women of tomorrow.
Let’s dare to take fashion to a wonderful new place, shall we? We can have it all – career, family, home, friends, style – and a conscience.
