Tom Wolf

2017 Speaker

TOM WOLF was sworn in as Governor of Pennsylvania on January 20, 2015. Wolf grew up in Mt. Wolf, a small borough outside of York in central Pennsylvania, where he still resides. He earned a BS from Dartmouth University, an MS from the University of London, and a PhD from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. During his studies, he served for two years in the Peace Corps in a small rural village in India. Wolf later served as chief executive officer of his family’s business, a leading supplier of kitchen cabinets and specialty building products headquartered in York. In 2006, he was appointed to serve in Governor Ed Rendell’s cabinet as secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue. Taking on the status quo by forcing government to change is Wolf’s mantra. In two years, his administration has made government more efficient and responsive.  He continues to work tirelessly on investing in education, improving access to quality health care, curbing the opioid epidemic, protecting our seniors, supporting issues for women and minorities, growing the economy, and creating a government that works.  @governortomwolf
