LORAINE BALLARD MORRILL is currently news director and community affairs director for iHeartMedia’s six Philadelphia stations.  They are Power 99 FM, WDAS FM, ALT 104.5 FM., Rumba 106.1, Fox Sports Radio Philadelphia 1480 AM and Q102 FM.  Morrill hosts and produces “Insight” on WDAS FM and Power 99 FM and “What’s Going On” on Q102, ALT 104.5 and Fox Sports Radio Philadelphia 1480 AM.  Morrill also coordinates community outreach and campaigns for all the stations. Among her numerous honors—Morrill has received The Philadelphia Human Relations Commission Human Rights Award, and The Women’s Alliance For Job Equity’s Certificate of Courage for her support of women confronting discrimination and commitment to combating Prejudice.  Morrill was the recipient of the March of Dimes Achievement in Radio Lifetime Achievement Award, The Philadelphia NAACP President’s Award, the inaugural Karin A. Phillips Excellence Award presented by the Philadelphia Black Public Relations Society, the 15th Annual Harris Wofford Active Citizenship Award from the Greater Philadelphia Martin Luther King Day of Service. She was recipient of BEBASHI Power of 30 Award, the Arête of Media Award presented by Women in Media, WOAR’s Bridge of Courage Award, City and State’s Fifty Over Fifty and Black Women Roundtable SiStars Leadership Award among others. Morrill serves on numerous boards including PHLDiversity; the Read by 4th Leadership Committee, Girl Scouts of Eastern PA and Global Citizen 365.
