Catherine O’Hara

Catherine O’Hara is the head of State Street’s US-based Institutional investor services (IIS) consultant relationship team. She is responsible for building relationships with consultants who work with plan sponsors on trust, custody and ancillary products for their benefit plans. O’Hara has more than 25 years of experience in client relationship management. She began her career as a benefit plan counselor at TIAA-CREF in the early 1980s. O’Hara moved to Bankers Trust in 1986, where she honed her relationship management skills in the defined benefit/defined contribution arena. At Chase Manhattan Bank, she continued working on large corporate relationships in Chase’s global securities services division.  She returned to Bankers Trust in 1996 as a managing director and team leader of the Corporate Retirement Services team. Deutsche Bank acquired Bankers Trust Company in 1999 and Ms. O’Hara stayed on until 2002. In September 2003, she joined State Street’s IIS sales team. She currently serves as co-chair of State Street’s New York City branch of the Professional Women’s Network and also as a chairperson of the New York Theatre Ballet board. She is also on the board of Cristo Rey Brooklyn. O’Hara attended Boston College and earned a B.A. in speech communication. @StateStreet
