KATE HERMANS is general manager, Orencia® & HCV for Bristol-Myers Squibb, a leading bio-pharmaceutical company located in Princeton, N.J.  Hermans is responsible for leading the cross-functional, global teams accountable for developing and executing the worldwide strategy and branding for Orencia and HCV. This includes driving the strategic brand planning process, delivering a clearly differentiated campaign and message platform together with global brand hallmarks, clearly defined access strategies and a robust lifecycle plan. Hermans has more than 25 years of diverse international leadership experience building, growing or fixing businesses.  Hermans’ diverse biopharmaceutical in-line marketing and global strategy experience spans many therapeutic areas, including  immunology, vaccines, transplantation, women’s health, CNS, anti-infectives and gastrointestinal. Hermans began her career in public service and then worked in the semiconductor industry, before joining the pharmaceutical industry with Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, now Pfizer Inc. Hermans also enjoys her role as a Mentor through several different formal and informal venues and is active in several charities, including serving on the board of the Women’s Resource Center. Hermans earned an M.A. in finance and international management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, as well as a B.A. in international relations from Wheaton College, MA.  @bmsnews
