The Bridge Way School
The Bridge Way School – Philadelphia’s first recovery school for students in grades 9 – 12 who have been treated for substance abuse/addiction – opened in September of 2011. Bridge Way provides a college-prep curriculum in a safe environment that supports and honors sobriety. Students enter with at least 30 days of sobriety and are working a recovery program (AA, NA).
It was difficult to choose one picture of our school to send. Being new, we assembled what furniture we could from donations and Craigslist. Students in recovery are working hard to help themselves and deserve a positive environment in which to learn.
