An Attendees Cheat Sheet for October 3, 2017

Did you miss our email about Conference Day Logistics? Catch up on everything you need to know to make your day a success here!

First, we just have to acknowledge…

Our amazing sponsors! Their contributions subsidize the cost of the conference and allow us to keep ticket prices uniquely affordable. We could not put on this event without their support, and we encourage you to get to know the companies demonstrating their real commitment to women in the workplace.

Help in Planning Your Day

As you think about what you’d like to get out of the conference day, we encourage you to browse our online agenda as well as download our official app, brought to you by Cisco and available on all major platforms.

Shop the day’s offerings and save your favorite events to a private, personal schedule. Get realtime alerts and program updates. Take advantage of the Conference Community feature to connect with the community.

You may also want to watch or download our Newcomer’s Guide to the PA Conference for Women.

Don’t Forget Your Badge!

You must print and cut out your badge before you arrive at the Convention Center. To print your badge, log in to the registration and click “Print Badges.” If you are attending the Conference as a guest, ask your main registrant to email your badge to you. If you are the main registrant for a group of people, log in to registration to email badges to your attendees for printing.

What to Expect

The Conference is anchored by two powerful keynote sessions – one in the morning and one over lunch; three different hour-long breakout sessions and multiple small business and social media roundtables in the afternoon. But that’s not nearly all!

Enter the Exhibit Hall and you’ll find the Beneficial Social Hub, the Drexel LeBow Career Pavilion, the Prudential Financial Pavilion, the expanded Community Connection Pavilion, the Education Pavilion, the Health & Wellness Pavilion and the Women-Owned Business Marketplace. Within these pavilions you’ll find a variety of mini-workshops, free headshot opportunities, resume and career experts, author book signings, and much more.

You’re also invited to a wine tasting reception sponsored by Fine Wine & Good Spirits in the Exhibit Hall from 4:00-5:00 pm. (Stop by their booth – #600 – to sign up & grab a wristband!)

The Beneficial Social Hub

The Beneficial Bank Social Hub is the perfect spot to connect and recharge! Use the hashtags #WhatEmpowersYou and #pennwomen on Instagram and Twitter photos you post during the event to be featured on Benefcial’s photo mosaic. And do not miss Amanda Healy’s fabulous LinkedIn Makeover Workshops, offered from 11am – 4:45pm. Stick around for in-depth Social Media Roundtables with local social pros from 3:00-4:40pm. Power up at a charging station before you leave.

Drexel LeBow Career Pavilion

The Drexel LeBow Career Pavilion is open all day, 7:30am – 5:00 pm, and is one of our most consistently popular offerings for a reason. You’ll want to bring your current resume for free professional critique, and organize your thoughts in advance for a free one-on-one coaching session with a coach from the International Coach Federation Philadelphia chapter. In addition, some of our sponsors will be on site recruiting. No advance sign-up is required.

Prudential Financial Pavilion

Put the Prudential Financial Pavilion on your list for the day – there you’ll find finance experts leading small-scale personal finance sessions from 8:00am – 4:45pm. Bring your questions!

While you’re there, stop by the Prudential booth for a free headshot. Smile!

Community Connection Pavilion

This year we’re collecting donations for three worthy charities, and welcoming two non-partisan groups focused on civic engagement:

Donation Opportunities

In partnership with our sponsors and local nonprofits, we invite you to get involved and spread the love by bringing donations to the conference and dropping them off at Community Connection booths. We’re looking for everything from lip balm to tampons to gently-used handbags. Get the details here.

Civic Engagement Opportunities

The PA Conference for Women believes in amplifying the voices of all women. That’s why we’re pleased to welcome two non-partisan groups that are working to give a voice to all Americans. Visit the League of Women Voters booth to learn the many ways you can get involved, from registering to vote to education to volunteering in your community. Then stop by the VoteRunLead booth to hear how they’re training women to run for office across the country and changing the face of leadership.

Education Pavilion

Home to the Bookstore and speaker book signings, this year’s Education Pavilion also features a fun new mini-session: The Girls Auto Clinic Car Care Workshops, running every 30 minutes throughout the day.

Stop by the Villanova booth to score a free headshot while you’re there!

Health & Wellness Pavilion

Always a popular destination for attendees, the Health & Wellness Pavilion brings experts in wellbeing to the Exhibit Hall for mini-sessions and Q&As throughout the day, 8am – 4pm. Be sure to check out Top Chef contestant Fabio Vivani’s 30-minute live cooking demonstrations! Then grab a smoothie and smile for your free headshot at the Bristol-Myers Squibb booth.

Women-Owned Business Marketplace

We work hard each year to bring you a wonderful group of local and national businesses, all owned by women. Join the Conference in our commitment to supporting these women – today, and throughout the year! Be sure to stop by the QVC booth to browse products from women-owned business and score a free headshot!

From 3:00 – 4:40 pm, join one of several Small Business Roundtables for an intimate unscripted talk led by an expert facilitator.
