2019 Attendees: Important Logistical Information
We’re getting ready to knock your socks off at the 2019 Pennsylvania Conference for Women!
To help your day go as smoothly as possible, please prepare yourself by reading the important information below.
Before You Arrive
Please print & cut out your badge (your ticket into the event) before you arrive at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. We’ll provide a lanyard and badge holder, but printing in advance will save time on Conference Day.
With your badge in hand, you can skip Registration and begin enjoying the Exhibit Hall as early as 7am, or go directly to the Opening Keynote at 8am.
*Note: Only the primary registrant has access to print or email badges. If you did not purchase your own ticket, please contact the primary registrant to have your badge sent to you.
Special Meal Requests
The deadline to request vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free special meals has passed, but we will try accommodate late requests while quantities last.
Main registrants should log in to the registration and submit individual meal requests there. If you can see the option to specify an alternate meal for attendees, then we are still accepting requests.
If the lunch options don’t meet your needs due to restrictions, allergies or you simply want something different, you may bring your own lunch with you.
Getting There
On October 2nd, thousands of women will converge on the Pennsylvania Convention Center at the same time. We cannot stress enough how important it is to plan ahead for traffic, parking and crowded public transit.
The best way to get to the Conference is to take public transit or a taxi, or to carpool. Jefferson Station, served by all regional rail lines, is connected to the Convention Center.
If you must drive, please carefully study the parking advice on our Travel page. You’ll find maps, prices and even an option to reserve discounted parking in advance!
Please note the entrances for this year are at 12th St. & Arch St. or on Market St. between 11th & 12th Streets.
What to Bring
- Your smartphone. The newly-expanded PennWomen app will help you to plan your day, navigate the convention center, interact with fellow attendees, and easily follow up with anyone you meet at the conference. Download today & create an account to get a head start!
- An updated résumé—recruiters will be on site, as will complimentary résumé reviewers and career coaches.
- Walking shoes! Attendees report getting a good number of steps in during a visit to the PA Conference for Women.
For Your Convenience
You can expect water bottles & refill stations (in the Exhibit Hall), a light continental breakfast (prior to the Opening Keynote session), coat check (on the bridge outside Hall A), and dedicated Nursing Mothers’ Rooms in MR 102 and MR 302 (expect privacy, refrigeration and the possibility of a crowd during peak break times). There are also two Mamava Nursing Mothers’ Pods available in the Convention Center.
