2013 Conference Highlights

Arianna HuffingtonThe 10th Annual Pennsylvania Conference for Women drew a sold-out crowd of more than 7,000 on November 1, 2013. Keynote speakers were Hillary Rodham Clinton, former Secretary of State and U.S. Senator from New York; Madeleine Albright, America’s first woman Secretary of State and bestselling author; Judge Glenda Hatchett, host and star of Judge Hatchett and bestselling author; and Sallie Krawcheck, one of the most respected voices on Wall Street and business leader, 85 Broads. The Conference also honored Linda Cliatt-Wayman, principal of Philadelphia’s Strawberry Mansion High School, whose success at reforming one of the most dangerous schools in the country was featured by ABC News.

At the Conference, Hillary Rodham Clinton announced the launch of an initiative called “No Ceilings: The Full Participation Project” through the Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation to empower women and girls worldwide.

Themed “The Power of Possibilities: Define Your Own Success,” the 10th Anniversary Conference also featured more than one hundred workshop and breakout session speakers for a day of inspiration, reinvention and networking. Topics included leadership, career advancement, money management, health and wellness, small business and entrepreneurship, social media, branding and more. The nonpartisan, nonprofit conference is Pennsylvania’s largest personal and professional development event for women.

Dozens of other speakers led program sessions throughout the day, all focused on celebrating the power within to help women bring about positive changes in their lives, careers and communities.
