Michelle Witherspoon

Michelle Witherspoon is senior manager, inclusion and collaboration business intelligence strategist for Cisco Systems.  As a diversity leader at Cisco, Witherspoon’s responsibilities include integrating inclusion and diversity into all business activities across Cisco’s functions and geographies by acknowledging and leveraging diversity as a business tool. She is part of the global inclusion and collaboration office at Cisco which is responsible for developing and implementing global strategies to create a diverse and equitable work environment. Witherspoon was instrumental in developing the strategy and analytical design for Cisco’s Global Business Stakeholder Review (BSR) process. This process guides executives through customized diversity intelligence, including benchmarks and annual employee survey results, in order to identify their specific gaps and opportunities. Witherspoon co-created a Global I&D Ambassador Network of more than 500 employees. This network helps to drive the inclusion and diversity vision, strategy and execution activities into all levels of the organization. She also provides I&D resource assistance, as well as coaching and consultation to Asia Pacific, China and Japan Diversity Leads. Witherspoon’s partnership with talent acquisition, HR, employee resource organizations and business function leaders, drive an inclusive end to end recruiting, hiring and retaining strategy for Cisco. @cisco
