The Salvation Army Red Shield Family Residence
The Salvation Army Red Shield Family Residence, located in North Philadelphia, provides emergency housing for families, most notably, young mothers with children. Many of these women enter the residence as homeless adults who never had a place of their own. With a capacity 120 individuals, it is vital to make the residence a place they can be proud of. Furniture from IKEA will enhance their common living space, providing residents with encouragement, pride and a bright future. Our home is a very personal thing- a donation from IKEA will give these residents an opportunity to be proud of their home.
